When used with one AAA battery to turn on the active noise cancellation, background noise is eliminated by up to 95%. The battery will provide up to 80 hours of noise-cancelling operation, and headphones will still work passively without the cancellation technology if it is not needed or if the battery dies. The ZX110NC Headphones have plush, padded ear cups for comfort, which will fold flat inline with the headband to improve portability when traveling.
