Moab Photography Symposium—September 25-28th, 2025

  • Dates: September 25-28th, 2025
  • Where: Moab Valley Inn
  • Address: 711 S Main St, Moab, UT 84532

The Moab Photography Symposium (MPS) successfully presents known leaders and new voices in the field of landscape-based fine art photography.  Our goal has always been to motivate people to personalize their personal photography.  This is accomplished via entertaining and enlightening presentations, small field workshops, tech sessions, and the well-loved, Zax pizza-supported, evening photoJAM! where attendees share their work. In addition to all of that we are also known for the great camaraderie among all who gather, and that’s something I’m especially proud of and grateful for.

VENUE - The EVENT will be held at Moab Valley Inn. Some rooms are available. Presenters are staying there. They have a perfect space to handle us and are great to work with! See LODGING page for more information.

LIMITED ATTENDANCE -  63 is the number! The math is simple. 7 field instructors/presenters x 9 participants per workshop = 63 symposium attendees.

INSTRUCTORS - Colleen Miniuk, Chuck Kimmerle, Charlotte Gibb, David Kingham, Michael Gordon, Jennifer Renwick, Bruce Hucko, and Guy Tal.

MASS IMAGE RESOLVE (MIR) On Sunday morning and preceeding the final presentation, we're going to attempt something totally new. During the symposium we will have seen many images and probably collected a few more. Sunday morning we'll attempt having everyone work on a new image made during the symposium and share it. That's 63-ish people working images on laptops - make sure your battery is full! Event instructors will be wandering the tables offering critique and processing help. The goal here is to share fresh imagery, personal vision and gain a whole lotta’ joy!
