Photography Sales and Event Coordinator

Role Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Photography Sales and Event Coordinator at Pictureline. This unique role will require a strong background in photography, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to multitask between two distinct responsibilities: sales of photography gear and coordination of events, classes, and workshops.

Responsibilities

Event Coordination:

• Plan, organize, and execute a variety of events, classes, workshops, and photography-related activities within the store.
• Liaise with instructors, photographers, and guest speakers to schedule and coordinate engaging educational experiences for customers.
• Manage event logistics, including space setup, audiovisual equipment, catering, and promotional materials.
• Promote events through various marketing channels to ensure strong attendance and community engagement.
• Collect and analyze feedback from participants to continuously improve the quality of events and educational offerings.

Photography Gear Sales:

• Engage and assist customers in selecting the right photography equipment, gear, and accessories to meet their specific needs.
• Provide expert product knowledge, advice, and guidance to customers, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest photography trends, technologies, and products to effectively communicate their benefits to customers.
• Collaborate with the sales team to meet and exceed sales targets while contributing innovative ideas to improve the store's sales strategies.

Qualifications

• Strong background and passion for photography, with a solid understanding of various photography techniques, equipment, and trends.
• Proven sales experience, ideally within the photography or retail industry, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Exceptional organizational abilities and attention to detail, especially when coordinating events and workshops.
• Creativity and innovative thinking to develop unique and appealing event concepts.
• Proficiency in using basic computer software and tools for event planning and sales tracking.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, to accommodate event schedules.
• Customer-centric approach with the ability to build strong relationships and provide outstanding customer service.
• Prior experience in event planning, coordination, or project management is a plus.

Part-Time: Videographer

Pictureline is seeking a part-time videographer/editor committed to doing the kind of work that builds trust and exhibits exemplary storytelling. As a videographer, you will help determine the cinematic look & feel, as well as the lighting for our content. You will work on short-form stories/marketing videos ranging from 30 seconds to 12 minutes long. These videos will be distributed through various mediums, including YouTube, web, social media, and email.

As a videographer, you should be comfortable in providing appropriate storyboards and pitching creative ideas. You will be in charge of operating all cameras, managing microphones/audio feeds, lighting, and raw footage through final edits.

The candidate must be self-motivated and also willing to collaborate with the marketing team to make sure the development of video assets is tied to an integrated marketing strategy. You must be able to capture clean and correct audio and video footage, including talent and b-roll, plus create slates, needed animations, and other on-screen visuals in line with established branding protocols.

Most importantly, the videographer will get to know the company’s brand, tone, fonts, colors, and full style guide with fluency to develop compelling assets that correspond/connect to pictureline branding.

Minimum Qualifications

2+ years' experience shooting, lighting, and editing; experience using DSLR and cinema-style cameras and lenses; experience with visually creative approaches to storytelling; ability to shoot while traversing various types of terrain; high degree of editing proficiency using the Adobe Premiere Suite; experience working with a variety of formats, codecs, frame rates and media/data management; familiarity with color correction; excellent written and verbal communication skills; and ability to lift, carry, and hold a variety of equipment for extended periods of time.

Preferences

Drone Op license/certification is a plus.

Part-time: Filmmaker & Content Producer - Youtube

We are seeking a talented Filmmaker who is passionate about YouTube and wants to be a part of building the Pictureline channel. We are looking for someone who is not just a camera operator, but who also enjoys testing gear, producing amazing content, and being on camera. If you already create great content for the internet and are looking to expand your skills, then this opportunity is for you.

The ideal candidate is a creative and versatile filmmaker who has experience in producing high-quality content for various platforms. You should have a passion for testing new gear, exploring different forms of content, and staying up-to-date with the latest trends in filmmaking.

Most importantly, the videographer will get to know the company’s brand, tone, fonts, colors, and full style guide with fluency to develop compelling assets that correspond/connect to pictureline branding.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Creating engaging content for the Pictureline YouTube channel and other social media platforms
• Generating fresh and interesting ideas that resonate with our community
• Collaborating with other creators and partners to produce custom campaign content
• Participating in online and offline filmmaking communities to stay connected with your audience
• Tracking results and gathering insights to continually improve the quality of our content

To qualify for this position, you should have:

• Direct experience producing, shooting, editing, and publishing gear-focused content
• A strong on-camera presence and the ability to inject your own personality into your content
• A keen eye for detail and the ability to humanize technical concepts for a wider audience
• Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere
• Familiarity with motion graphics and animation techniques
• A proven track record of being organized, hard-working, and diligent
• Experience working for a content-heavy brand or publication is preferred
• An active presence in online filmmaking communities is a plus

Part-Time: Support and Sales

Pictureline Inc. is looking for a motivated and skilled part-time individual to join our outstanding sales team. You will be responsible for educating customers on in-store products and helping them to identify the optimum solution for their photographic needs.

Our ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter able to keep up in a fast-paced environment, competent with photographic + video equipment and concepts, and who is not afraid to learn new technologies and products within this growing field. In addition, our sales candidate should be enthusiastic about photography, videography and audio technology or have a willingness to learn these ideas and techniques with opportunities to excel in the company and take on other responsibilities.

We're looking for a motivated and skilled full-time individual to join our outstanding sales team. You will be responsible for educating customers on in-store products and helping them to identify the perfect solution for their photographic needs.

Our ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter able to keep up in a fast-paced environment, competent with photographic equipment and concepts, and that is not afraid to learn new technologies and products within this growing field. In addition, our sales candidate should be enthusiastic about photography and photographic technology or have a willingness to learn these ideas and techniques with opportunities to excel in the company and take on other responsibilities.

Full-Time Warehouse Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Pictureline is looking for a motivated shipping and receiving clerk to perform daily delivery, packaging, receiving, and shipment duties.

Our ideal candidate is a detail oriented and proactive self-starter that is able to keep up in a fast-paced business environment. The candidate should have a high degree of competency and enthusiasm regarding photographic + video equipment and technology, as well as a willingness to learn about new products and techniques in a rapidly changing industry.

Other requirements include:

• Candidates must be dependable and punctual
• Help receives product, checks and sign deliver slips, and assist with unloading as necessary
• Organizes received inventory on the sales floor.
• Responsible for packaging shipments
• Maintain a clean and neat warehouse
• Help warehouse run smoothly.
• Ability to direct and work with a team, but also work independently
• A strong desire and self-motivation to achieve and exceed personal and business goals

40 hours per week, Monday-Friday from 9:00-6:00 and every other Saturday from 10:00am - 3:00pm. This position pays between $18 - $20 per hour. No agencies or recruiters.
