Wimberley AP-600 Replacement Foot for Canon EF 600mm f/4L IS III USM and 600 RF f/4.0 IS Lenses

These custom low-profile replacement feet replace the factory foot on the rotation collar of your lens. These feet also serve as the Arca-Swiss style quick-release plate eliminating the bulk and complexity of an additional plate. A Wimberley lens foot also improves lens handling on a conventional tripod head, such as a ball head, and also makes it easier to pack.

The AP-600 Replacement Foot fits the EF 600 f/4 IS III and RF 600mm f/4 IS Canon lenses and serves three main purposes:

• 1. Added Stiffness over the factory tripod mounting foot connected to a lens plate, reducing flex and vibration.
• 2. Functions as the Arca-Swiss style quick-release plate for your lens.
• 3. Creates a more ideal geometry for using your lens on the Wimberley Sidemount Head and Sidekick, allowing the lens to balance optimally.

Wimberley lens plates are compatible with Arca-Swiss style quick-release clamps such as those made by Wimberley, Kirk Enterprises, Really Right Stuff, Arca-Swiss, Markins, and others.

Using our replacement foot on your large lens decreases the overall height of the lens, lowering the center of gravity so that it is easier to achieve proper balance when used on a gimbal head such as the Wimberley Head. When using the Sidekick or Sidemount Wimberley Head, replacement feet are useful and sometimes required for optimal gimbal head performance. Wimberley Replacement Lens Feet lower the lens profile compared with the manufacturer's original lens foot.

The replacement feet are precision machined to slide right into an Arca-Swiss style quick-release clamp. They also have tapped holes for mounting to non-quick-release tripod heads and monopods. All replacement feet feature the same safety stops and flash bracket compatibility as our lens plates.

Lens feet are often a weak link in a lens support system. We use finite element analysis validated by empirical data when we design our feet. This process allows us to reduce weight while maintaining an appropriate level of stiffness. Other manufacturers often reduce weight by removing too much material. This may so drastically reduce the stiffness of the foot that it becomes a weak link (undermining the stiffness of the entire setup).
