Roses, lilies, honeysuckles, lavender, and wildflowers galore!
Summer in Utah brings an incredible assortment of plants and insects that come to life in our dry climate. The shape of each unique flower, the bright colors, the bees collecting pollen, and the minute details that can easily go unnoticed are some of the many things that draw admirers to the world of macro photography.
Come join Canon as they take you on a walk through the beautiful Red Butte Gardens using macro lenses.
The day will start at 8am at Pictureline, where you will be given a one hour class by John Stoliv. He will cover the Canon macro lenses and the proper way to use them, including the Canon MPE-65 which has the ability to shoot a 5:1 macro ratio!
Once the class instruction is over, we will head over to Red Butte Garden where both John and Shawn from Canon will be on hand to answer any question you have pertaining to the class. We will walk through the gardens until 2pm using the skills that you learned during the class.
Canon will also have available various macro lenses and cameras for EVERYONE to use during the event. And, the pictureline rental department has macro lenses to rent for those who shoot Nikon or Sony and who want to familiarize themselves with their own system.
