The Canon EW-73C Lens Hoods is designed for the Canon EF-S 10-18mm f/4.5-5.6 IS STM lens and is used to minimize flare by deflecting stray light from entering the lens. The hood also provides protection to the lens edge and filter from accidental impacts such as bumps, scratches and drops.
