Shoot 6pm – 8:30pm (MST)
Recap:
We had a blast last Saturday photographing birds out at Farmington Bay! It was so incredible to have wildlife photographer, @makarrenphotos guide us along the way! Following her lecture, attendees were able to use their newfound knowledge in the field.
Also, shoutout to Canon for sponsoring and providing loaner gear to try out! Make sure to check out our events page for upcoming events.
Description:
Reserve your seat for a special presentation at pictureline from the talented and inspiring Mary Anne Karren. Mary Anne will begin speaking at 4pm and will wrap at 5pm.
There will be opportunity to apply newfound knowledge in the field directly afterward. Our group, accompanied by Canon & Mary Anne, will head to Farmington Bay to photograph birds at dusk from 6pm to 8:30pm.
Spring in the Great Salt Lake provides essential habitat for millions of migrating and breeding birds that thrive in our climate. Farmington Bay, Utah is home to more than 200 species, and nearly 60 are known to nest there. Some species you'll find in the springtime are Western and Clark’s Grebes, American White Pelicans, White-faced Ibis, Sandhill Cranes, Black-necked Stilts, American Avocets, and Snowy Plovers.
Come join us as we take advantage of the prime wildlife conditions at Farmington Bay using telephoto lenses. We will meet at 6 pm in front of the Great Salt Lake Nature Center. From there, we will separate into three different groups.
