Recap
We all braved the rain Saturday morning as we scouted for the ultimate bird photograph out at Farmington Bay. The weather wasn't too bad with occasional light drizzling and the sun shining towards the end. Attendees were able put their super telephoto lenses to good use to find hidden gems and perfect moments. Overall, we had a great time together and came away with some good images.
Description
Spring in the Great Salt Lake provides essential habitat for millions of migrating and breeding birds that thrive in our climate. Farmington Bay, Utah is home to more than 200 species, and nearly 60 are known to nest there. Some species you'll find in the springtime are Western and Clark’s Grebes, American White Pelicans, White-faced Ibis, Sandhill Cranes, Black-necked Stilts, American Avocets, and Snowy Plovers.
Come join us as we take advantage of the prime wildlife conditions at Farmington Bay using telephoto lenses. We will meet at 7 am in front of the Great Salt Lake Nature Center where everyone will check in. From there, we will separate into three different groups.
