The lens also has two ED (extra-low dispersion) elements to keep your photos clear, sharp, and with full color fidelity. The 800mm f/5.6E FL ED AF-S Nikkor VR Lens has a Nano Crystal Coat applied to the lens elements to minimize reflections and ghosting as well as built-in Vibration Reduction to lessen camera shake by up to four shutter speed stops, which makes this lens a power player in low-light situations and sports photography. Lastly, this lens features an electromagnetic aperture mechanism that provides exposure control capability.
The Nikon 800mm f/5.6E FL ED AF-S Nikkor VR Lens comes with a AF-S Teleconverter TC800-1.25E ED to further extend your effective focal length to 1000mm f/7.1. The electromagnetic aperture control is still supported when using the teleconverter.
