Description
Distinguished by its apochromatic label, the Leica APO-Summicron-M 90mm f/2 ASPH. is a swift short telephoto lens crafted for M-mount rangefinder cameras. Functioning as an apochromat, this lens employs a pair of peculiar partial dispersion glass elements to effectively eliminate color fringing and chromatic aberrations, ensuring remarkable clarity and color precision. Additionally, one aspherical element and two high refractive index glass elements are employed to manage spherical aberrations and distortion, while maintaining a heightened level of sharpness. With a manual focus design, it allows for close-up work with subjects as near as 3.3', and its compact structure includes a built-in extendable lens hood for safeguarding the front element.
