The Speedlite 270EX II is a compact and lightweight flash designed for Canon EOS DSLRs. You can also use the 270EX II Speedlite with compact digital cameras that have a dedicated flash shoe mount.
The 270EX II features a Tele/Wide function that allows you to easily adjust the illumination angle and guide number to your liking. Flash coverage can be switched between Normal (28mm full-frame equivalent, max. Guide No. 72 ft./22m at ISO 100) and Tele (50mm full-frame equivalent, max. Guide No. 89 ft./27m at ISO 100). There's also a manual power adjustment from 1/1 to 1/64.
When using the 270EX II with a DSLR with a master function, you can use the 270EX II as a wireless slave flash. The flash release function triggers the camera wirelessly from the flash on a 2-second delay, allowing the flash to be repositioned to illuminate the subject.
