The Atomos Ninja Ultra 5.2" 8K HDMI Recording Monitor has been enhanced with an updated operating system, HDR monitoring, and RAW recording features, making it the perfect choice for your next on-set monitoring and recording needs. This monitor is designed to support DCI 4K HDMI content and offers the capability to record ProRes RAW content up to 8K when used with compatible cameras. To maintain compatibility with existing Atomos monitor accessories and facilitate seamless integration with your current equipment, the Ninja Ultra retains the same form factor as its predecessors.

AtomOS 11 Operating System

Designed specifically for the Ninja Ultra, the AtomOS 11 operating system brings a host of new features and enhances user experience with a more intuitive icon-based interface. Monitor assist functions have been expanded to include features such as Focus Peaking, Zoom, Atomos and ARRI False Color, EL Zone colorized exposure, Safe Areas, RecordAssist, PlayBackAssist, SegmentPro, and Cine Guides, offering a comprehensive toolkit for monitoring tasks. Thanks to the AtomHDR processing engine, real-time Log to PQ/HLG previewing is now possible, providing improved accuracy in assessing your content.

The Ninja Ultra features a 5.2" IPS touchscreen display with a crisp 1920 x 1080 resolution, providing excellent visibility even in bright daylight with its 1000 cd/m² brightness. With its 10-bit color processing, adherence to the Rec.709 color gamut standard, and support for Calibrite ColorChecker Display Pro/Plus calibration, you can trust in its ability to deliver accurate and high-quality color monitoring for your footage.

SSD Recording

The Ninja Ultra is designed for compatibility with both the Atomos Master Caddy II and Master Caddy III 2.5" hard drive units, allowing you to record directly to these drives. Additionally, you have the option to record onto compact AtomX SSDmini drives and CFAST II cards, using a separate adapter that is available for purchase. This versatility in storage options ensures that you can choose the media that best suits your recording needs.
