The Mountain West chapter of the American Society of Media Photographers (ASMP), invites established, upcoming, and aspiring photographers to Clubhouse SLC for a networking and professional development event. Register early to secure one of the afternoon's private portfolio reviews conducted by Wonderful Machine's Senior Marketing Consultant Erika Blatt, or join a selection of your colleagues for Behance Portfolio Reviews starting at 4pm.
At 5pm, drinks and small bites will be served, and at 6pm Erika Blatt will give her presentation, "Marketing a Cohesive Brand", followed at 8pm by Wonderful Machine Executive Producer Craig Oppenheimer, who will give insight into one of the hardest parts of commercial photography: figuring out what to charge clients.
For additional information and to register, head to https://store.asmp.org/store/items/detail/item/3740 or our Facebook event page at www.facebook.com/ASMPMtnWest.
Join Erika Blatt as she discusses how to find your photographic voice, perfect your brand, and market to your target client base. What kind of images do you like to create, and what kind of images does the marketplace need? Erika will touch on how to establish your goals, your photographic identity and ways to develop brand recognition. Additionally, she'll explain how to appeal to your target audience, engage in passive and active marketing, and ultimately build client relationships. Erika will illustrate examples of cohesive brands and marketing strategies to show you how a solid brand can maximize your success.
Erika will also be available for brief portfolio reviews of marketing materials prior to her presentation. Reserve your spot at **https://store.asmp.org/store/items/detail/item/3747**
Craig Oppenheimer will cover the main concepts every photographer should have a handle on in order to calculate the value of their work, while reviewing common terminology, discussing negotiation principles and sharing a few real estimates. The presentation will be followed by a Q+A session to address additional topics. In addition to producing projects of all shapes and sizes for prominent agencies and brands, he also consults with photographers to help them develop estimates, stock quotes and project proposals on a daily basis.
