Carl Mydans, a famed photographer for Life Magazine, died on August 16 at his home in Larchmont. He was 97 years of age. Some of his most memorable photos included photos of World War II, and more recently he was featured in a 1999 Asia Society exhibition, "China: 50 Years Inside the Peoples Republic."
